Halifax Urban Ministries is a ministry of area churches to residents in need in the Halifax area. HUM operates throughout the eastern section of Volusia County, and the local offices are located at  310 Douglas Street, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168. 

The local office provides food, emergency services, and other resources to people in Southeast Volusia County. On a rotating basis, over 20 churches provide, cook, and serve a noon meal to hungry people within the community. These meals are served at Hollister Hall - First United Methodist Church or Pettis Park on an alternating basis. Coronado has two teams which cook for HUM. They serve meals on the second Monday and the third Wednesday of easch month; volunteers are welcome.

On the first weekend of each month, Coronado members collect nonperishable foods, toiletry items and other supplies to help stock the HUM pantry. At Thanksgiving and Christmas, Coronado provides food bags for preparing complete meals.
